Adobe “Lightroom” is the very popular software program for organizing and editing your photos. In this level I class we will primarily focus on the Library and Develop Modules with an overview of the other components. Learn how to edit your photos and develop an efficient workflow to save time. Students must bring their laptop with Lightroom installed to each class. AMERICA'S BOATING COURSE 3

Calendar Mar 20, 2018 at 6 pm, runs for 8 weeks

Offered by the Kennebec River Sail and Power Squadron, this 8 week course covers Boat Handling, Trailering, Aids to Navigation, Marine Radio Usage, Navigation Rules, Personal Watercraft Operation and Dealing with Adverse Conditions and Emergencies. Also included are Knots and Lines, Anchoring, the use of Marine Charts, Piloting and Determining Position. Fee of $55 includes book and materials and is to be paid to the instructor the first night of class.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE FOR BEGINNERS

Come join in on the fun and learn a language that's hands on. ASL will start with learning the manual alphabet, finger spelling, grammar, both visual and expressive communication vocabulary (in a group setting), and group activities. The activities will help you learn new skills, review, and practice what you have learned in class. A certificate will be given to those who complete the class.

Students will gain a fundamental understanding of space and how it can be defined to benefit their life. Through lecture, demonstration, example, evaluation, and discussion, as well as exercises in architectural design, students will begin to understand the importance of good design in the built environment as well as learning some basic methods of architectural design. *Drafting tape or drafting dots/tabs (used to hold layers of trace           together and be able to once again separate)

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. This course is for healthcare professionals, direct care workers, day care providers, and those who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. The course is also for community members that are ready, willing and able to offer a hand during a crisis. Material fee of $25 to be paid to instructor.

You will continue the experience of learning more about Brazilian Portuguese language and a “Moqueca” dish ( fish stew with coconut milk) will be served after learning about its origin. If you want to plan a visit to Brazil there is a possibility of traveling to this beautiful country in July of 2018. Let’s get ready!
