Augusta Adult and Community Education

This is a five-week course that will provide participants, 16 years and older, with the tools and understanding needed to lead small groups of participants through a day of open-water fishing adventure. We will explore the principles of the Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs campaign and use our knowledge to offer a day of open-water fishing. This course is geared to pair mentors with youth to promote spring and summer, outdoor education and develop a love for life-long learning.

5 weeks of class held Thursdays, from 6:30-8P 

May 23, May 30, June 4 (Tuesday, 5:30-7:00P), June 13, June 20

Practical Assessment on Thursday, June 27 from 5:30-7:00P at BiCentennial Nature Park, Rte 3, Augusta.

This course will be taught by Kelli M Gilzow Stowell, our certified Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs Instructor, Certified Educational Trip Leader for Augusta Adult and Community Education AACE Program Coordinator, Augusta Parks and Recreation Outdoor Educator, and Certified American Red Cross Instructor.
