Using Zoom more than ever? Here is a great way to learn everything you need to know about the Zoom Video Conferencing platform.

The course videos demonstrate examples of using Zoom on different devices—smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Course content includes: Muting audio and video; using chat; screen sharing; recording; troubleshooting; scheduling meetings; break-out rooms; and more. This course is appropriate for Zoom beginners as well as those who have used Zoom and want to learn more.

Courses are all video-based.  There are 5-8 videos per course.

This is a step-by-step guide to taking beautiful photos, appropriate for novice photographers and anyone who wants to significantly upgrade their photography skills. Students will learn to take photos, portraits, slo-motion, panos, and more. Also, students will learn about camera settings for proper focus and exposure, High Dynamic Range, and picture composition.

Courses are all video-based.  There are 5-8 videos per course.

For Academic and Enrichment students. Through the online G’metrix program, students will learn how to navigate, create, troubleshoot, and interact with others professionally in online work. Students completing the course will take a proctored exam. Successful completion of the exam will earn them a digital certificate. There are three levels to the course. HSD students must complete the first two levels and pass both proctored exams. Students interested in working in computer technology should complete all three levels and pass the Mastery exam. NorthStar Digital Literacy Tue In-Person/Thu Open Lab W24

Northstar Digital Literacy defines basic skills needed to perform tasks on computers and online. Online, self-guided modules assess the ability of individuals to perform tasks based on these skills.

Included are basic computer digital literacy standards and modules in three main areas: 

Essential Computer Skills - Basic Computer Skills, Internet Basics, Using Email, Windows OS, Mac OS

Essential Software Skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs

Using Technology in Daily Life - Social Media, Information Literacy, Career Search Skills, Accessing Telehealth Appointments, Supporting K-12 Distance Learning, Your Digital Footprint
